Ok here we go, I just moved out to LA and i am pursuing being a TV writer. I go to UCLA and work at a place called Radar Pictures as an intern. I got my hands on the infamous UTA job list and found Radar through there.
People if your not getting that list its hard to even find a job. I applied to about 25 places from other websites and Craigslist and have heard nothing. NOTHING!!! not even one reply. But out of 22 jobs on the list i got 13 replies! its all about that list.
Radar is a film production company but its really cool over here. I am keeping my options open and am gonna see where this takes me. Also there are a lot of jobs on the list that require experience at either an agency or productions company (at least a year) so I am getting that as well.
I know these are the first baby steps but it does feel good to be in the business somewhat and Radar is pretty sweet also............ I dont have to wear a suit!
